MP4 to animated SVG converter

Make a short motion clip into an asset you can edit.

Choose your MP4 in the editor →

Choose a suitable MP4

Start with a short logo loop, mascot gesture or motion graphic. One subject, flat colors and a simple background give the conversion less detail to approximate. Standard conversion is a practical starting point; gradients, texture and multiple subjects may require cleanup.

Convert, preview, then Quick Edit

  1. Open the editor and choose your MP4.
  2. Run local conversion and compare the result with the source.
  3. Select a path to recolor, hide, move, scale or rotate it. Check which matching frames an edit affects.
  4. Preview playback before exporting.

The result is a frame-based vector animation. Traced paths are color regions, not automatically recognized semantic parts.

Export an animated SVG or SVGZ

Animated SVG keeps the motion in a single vector asset. SVGZ is the primary export: gzip-compressed SVG. Serve SVGZ with Content-Type: image/svg+xml and Content-Encoding: gzip, or export plain SVG when your host cannot set those headers.

Save SceneDoc to keep an editable project. Lottie JSON is an experimental compatibility export for supported scenes; verify it in your target player.

Local processing and realistic expectations

The standard workflow runs in your browser without requiring a video upload. Experimental cloud processing is a separate opt-in path. Keep your own project backup: browser storage is local and can be cleared.

Not every clip becomes a small or clean vector file. Review contours, colors and file size using your own source material.
